If you've spent any time in New Hampshire or are an avid hiker or skier, you know about "Tuck". More years back than I care to admit I did a little bit of skiing and hiking, but never anything close to the level of the folks that take on Tuckerman's Ravine. As far as skiing goes, if youcan hike up it with your ski gear, you're good enough to ski down. There is no rope tow or chairlift or anything of the kind. It stikes me funny that the notion of extreme sports is something new, not here. It's been going on a good long while. But it is not ony the outdoorsmen that are mesmerized by Tuck, as an artist I have several views I want to paint. Before my series of paintings on the White Mountains is finished I'm sure there will be more than a couple of versions.
