Shaker Barn
In early Autumn I met with some other artists at the Canterbury Shaker Village in Canterbury, New Hampshire. It was a strikingly beautiful day, the rich deep blue sky, one of the tell tales signs of Autumn in New England, was the backdrop from which to start. The barns and buildings were all great. Particularly beautiful was the farm stand. The garden in front of it and the rows of pumpkins and potted plants was the subject of several paintings. An herb and flower garden was also a tempting subject for me.
