Noone Falls
Noone Falls encompasses this dam and an old mill that has been converted into a small shopping center. In restoring the old mill, the river once again generates electricity for the mill building. Couple that with such a lovely setting and this is a little gem of a spot in Peterborough, N.H. Oftimes when I sat on the terrace of the restaurant in the mill having lunch with a friend I'd say that I needed to paint this scene. This summer I finally got to it. The wildflowers aroung the water's edge and the birches standing out against the huge boulder in the middle of the river presented all my favorite elements to paint.
